Sponsorship Packages for the 2019 UCGIS Symposium The Geospatial Humanities: Transdisciplinary Opportunities for the GIScience Community is the theme for the 24th annual gathering that UCGIS will be held at the Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC, from June 10 - 13, 2019. We are excited to hear from researchers representing both the spatial humanities and the geohumanities; methods of the former tend to be quantitative and spatial while the latter are qualitative and place-based. The common ground is an interest in mapping and the geospatial technologies, GIScience, and the geographic perspective. Long traditions of data exploration and visualization contribute to diverse and innovative lines of inquiry across these fields. Our Symposia are known for their high quality and informative sessions that provide top-notch information on matters important to the GIScience community. We offer unparalleled opportunities for professional and social networking within the most active community of GIScience scholars in U.S. higher education. Each year around 125 people attend our event, a size that is optimal for in-depth and productive conversations. If you are interested in being a Sponsor for the 2019 UCGIS Symposium, please contact Diana Sinton (dianasinton_at_ucgis.org).
