TRELIS workshops are designed for women working in higher education in the geospatial sciences (GIS, remote sensing, cartography, and related mapping sciences). Sessions will focus on five themes: Career Trajectories & Leadership, Mentoring & Coaching, Communication & Language, Dealing with Obstacles, and Work-Life Balance, all in the context of the geospatial sciences.
The first TRELIS workshop will take place Saturday May 19, 2018 through Monday May 21, 2018, at the Concourse Hotel in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Workshop participants will stay and participate in extended networking and professional development activities during the UCGIS Symposium that will take place immediately afterwards, from Tuesday May 22 - Thursday May 24, 2018. This 2018 Symposium will be co-located with CaGIS's AutoCarto.
Participants will have all workshop and Symposium expenses covered by travel grants. TRELIS activities are funded by the National Science Foundation.
